Metropark Parking Facility

Serving both NJ TRANSIT and AMTRAK customers, Metropark Parking Facility is open 24 hours a day. Located at the heart of New Jersey’s Northeast Corridor, Metropark is one of the top three busiest parking facilities in the state for daily commuters using mass transit. With daily parkers and 300 or more passengers being dropped off, more than 4,000 visit the station on a daily basis.

We offer two secure covered garages on-site with an additional 300 space surface lot for overflow customers once the garage is full.

One is a 5-story garage (labeled as the East Deck Garage or garage 1 on the NJ TRANSIT website) with approximately 1,520 spaces, 30 of these spaces reserved for Handicapped Individuals with the proper State ID and tags. These spaces are located on floors 1 to 4, directly adjacent to the elevators for easy access to the NJ TRANSIT Train Station. On the third floor there is a pedestrian crossover directly to the northbound train platform.

The other is a 7-story garage with approximately 1,970 spaces (labeled as the West Deck Garage or garage 2 on the NJ TRANSIT website) with 32 of those spaces being reserved for Handicapped Individuals with the proper State ID and tags. These spaces are located all on the ground floor between the elevator and our Customer Service Office for easy access to the NJ TRANSIT Train Station and our Customer Service Office for any questions.

Our Customer Service Office is located on the ground floor of the West Deck Garage directly adjacent to the entrance of the East Deck garage. The office is open 24 hours a day to answer any questions or help with any problems.

A brand new state-of-the-art parking and revenue control system was installed in July of 2007. Daily parkers can now pay with cash or credit cards at our automated payment machines located in both the East Deck and West Deck garages on the 1st and 3rd floors and directly in front of our Customer Service Office.

Pre-paid Value Cards, called Rapid Park Cards, are available for purchase through our Customer Service Office. Customers can purchase any amount and can pay with cash or credit for this purchase. These cards are used for more convenient entry and exit in place of taking a ticket and standing in line to pay at our payment machines. These cards do not expire. Specific instructions on proper use are given at time of purchase and should be followed to avoid any card problems.

Monthly customers can also purchase one of our hands-free access card transponders for a one-time fee of $25.00. These transponders are placed on the inside dashboard or front window with a clear view of the access card reader and let the monthly customer enter and exit the parking facility without having to open their window to swipe their access card at the reader. These cards can be tested out FREE for 1 week before purchase. Specific instructions on proper use are given at time of purchase.
